Who is Amanda?Amanda is the granddaughter of the restaurant’s original owner. We’re fond of the name (and the girl) and decided to keep the mellifluous moniker when we purchased the restaurant.

Does Amanda’s serve a weekday lunch?

We offer a weekday lunch in the weeks preceding the December holidays. During the rest of the year we recommend our sister restaurant, The Elysian Cafe, for a la carte lunch. Amanda’s can be opened Monday through Friday during the day for groups of 30 guests or more. Please contact us if you are interested in planning a weekday luncheon.

Are children welcome at Amanda’s?

We love children. In fact, some of our best friends are children. Someday, we’ll even have a real kid’s menu. In the meantime, we’ll bring those kids whose palates are not yet developed that no-fail crowd pleaser, a plate of buttered noodles while the family dines. We have a large stable of high chairs for those young ones who like to sit tall at the table.

One favor: We ask that no matter how well-behaved your child, that you consider an early reservation when dining with children. Nothing derails the ardor of daters like a crying child.

Does Amanda’s have a dress code?

No jacket is required. We suggest neat casual. Those who like to dress up will not feel out of place in a black dress and pearls. Devotees of blue jeans will also feel welcome.

Is Amanda’s handicapped accessible?

There are two steps from the sidewalk to Amanda’s front door. Two members of our strong staff are always available to negotiate that incline. We also have a wheelchair accessible bathroom on the main floor.
